Rincon Rotary helps Gallego Fine Arts fill the mosaic of culture and education.

Gallego Fine Arts asked for Ceramic Clay and Tile cutters to allow students to transfer original artwork and inspirational messages on ceramic tiles for placement around the school. In addition to the artistic aspects, this project has several academic applications to support both literacy, historical research, and key math skills. The Rincon Rotary enjoyed seeing the results of this grant and, additionally, the student-created murals at Gallego which we helped fund in 2022. It is clear in each of these projects that the students take great pride in their work and their school community.

Rincon Rotary's support is part of its Rotary LOCAL program, whose mission is to help improve the local community through educational outreach. Rotary LOCAL can provide manpower, resources from local business partners, or in some cases, direct financial support to teachers who apply for assistance. Rotary LOCAL is funded in part by our annual Taste of Chocolate event, a great way to sample local sweets and help teachers at the same time.
