Rincon Rotary provides cases so Bloom Elementary students can practice at home.

Patty Frey, Resource Teacher at Bloom Elementary, Mitchell Peterson, Manager at the Instrumental Music Center, and Rincon Rotary Member Dr. David Davenport, partner together to help Bloom Elementary Students practice guitar at home.

Bloom Elementary teacher Patty Frey wrote to Rotary Local, "We have enough guitars for the 20 students in the guitar club, but we don't have cases for all of the guitars. We would like to be able to let children check out guitars to practice at home, but we need 12 more guitar cases." So the Rincon Rotary responded, partnering with local business, Instrumental Music Center, to provide the cases.

Rincon Rotary's support is part of its Rotary Local Program, whose mission is to help improve the local community through educational outreach. Rotary Local can provide manpower, resources from local business partners, or in some cases, direct financial support to teachers who apply for assistance.
